Clayton Kinder

Web Developer

Hey there! My name is Clayton Kinder. I am a web developer residing in Denver, Colorado and am currently employed by PlayPosit. As a developer, it is my duty to create clean, clear, and creative websites that both astound and inform. I use state-of-the-art web technologies to achieve this standard. When I'm not battling the web development demons, I enjoy video games, playing guitar, and swimming.

WORK

PlayPosit Profile

PlayPosit Profile

I was contracted by PlayPosit to develop a profile settings page. I handled frontend and backend development, utilizing Vue.js, NodeJS, Express.js, MySQL, and a hint of PHP. The final product is a powerhouse of a webpage that oozes modern material design.

Beacon

My largest project yet, I built Beacon as a web application designed around connecting people with those around them. I used many technologies that were unfamiliar to me at the time but proved to be a great boon in development. I built out both the frontend and backend of this website, choosing to create a separate API to handle all server needs.

The Village at Coosaw

A Wordpress site that I built for a nearby shopping center. I handled all aspects of development and provided a website that completely met the needs of the client while remaining simple enough for anyone to update in the Wordpress backend.

Good Done Great

During my time at Good Done Great, I was tasked with completely redeveloping the pre-login portion of our web application. It was absolutely paramount to keep the design clean while still making sure that our mission was clearly communicated to all users and I am very proud of the result. Looking past the pre-login section, I also helped develop a social media feed and a multitude of pages, forms, modals, and charts.

Elefgee

Elefgee

Elefgee is a web application designed by a colleague and I that serves as a way for gamers to find people to play games with. This project was my first venture into NodeJS and was a great exercise in back-end development, APIs, and managing user accounts and data. Although the site is no longer live, this marked my first full-stack application.

Kraftee

Kraftee was my first project that used AngularJS. The idea was to expand my knowledge of MVC systems by creating a fake digital storefront using the Etsy API.

Briefcases & Bureaucrats

Briefcases & Bureaucrats

Through the power of JavaScript and jQuery, I have created what I believe to be the world's first business-themed fighting game. This was created as an exercise in constructors, arrays, and functions. Watch out for Franklin from management!

Peralta

For one of my first projects, I recreated the Peralta website. In order to do this, I made use of all the wonderful abilities that SASS adds to vanilla CSS. This project taught me positioning, styling, and proper HTML layouts.
